The Vivat Trust is a registered charity and an active national building preservation trust. Established in 1981, the trust is dedicated to rescuing derelict historic buildings and sensitively restoring them into short stay self-catering holiday homes. Properties are let out by a wholly owned subsidiary, Vivat Trust Holidays. This approach to conserving the nation's heritage allows people to experience a living piece of history while the lettings income helps fund future maintenance.
Please support the Vivat Trust by planning your next UK holiday to one of our historic buildings.
We have 18 heritage buildings available year round for holiday lets. These range from iconic buildings in prime city centre locations, such as Old Observatory House on Calton Hill in Edinburgh and our spacious apartment in Taunton Castle, Somerset. For romantic breaks for two look no further than our Shropshire woodland folly, The Temple or The Summerhouse, an Elizabethan banqueting tower. For a piece of rural idyll head to North Lees Hall in the heart of the Peak District National Park or rent our cosy artist's studio in Herefordshire, surrounded by the beautiful private gardens of Wellbrook Manor.
Prices start from just £208 for a 3 night stay. All prices include linen/towels, toiletries, fuel and a welcome food and wine hamper.
